Try the download section here at Ryandors or at Orbsydia.com. Dev |

Thanks Dev Vipperious, but Ryandor's download for WorldForge seems to be unavailable at the moment, or at least it appears to be that way. I did try the other site you mentioned, but couldn't locate the program. Probably need to register as a user to access it, and the message I got was that the account registration has been disabled. ![]() Thanks for replying though, much appreciate it. Any other suggestions? |

Hi there, After a lengthy search on the net, I was able to find WorldForge 6.a, which I guess is the correct one. I ran the program, but can across a stumbling block which I hope someone could clarify it for me... Starting the program, I read the brief instructions. It states that I have to put in the correct path for the 3 files listed below. The boxes are shown in red, and should turn green when I enter the correct path. so, for: staids0.mul, I copied and paste the path to that file statics0.mul, the same as above. items.wsc, that is this file??? I did a search on my computer and there is no listing of this file. Anyways, staids0.mul remained "red" as did statics0.mul Do you have to have all 3 correct to have them turn green? So as it stands right now, I'm stuck on trying to get WorldForge to start... I'm looking to use WorldForge to modify my map0.mul file, mining caves, build my towns, etc... Thanks for your help ![]() |

Wups, feel rather silly correcting my last entry so soon... I figured out the staidx0.mul and statics0.mul, so they are green now. Still no idea on the items.wsc though, search brought up no files like that. Still stuck, but I thought I'd enter another message so you don't have to answer the question about the 1st two fields...sorry. |

-Open Notepad -Choose "new" document -Tab down a couple lines and type in [EOF] -Save the file as items.wsc in the directory Worldforge suggests. Done and done ![]() -CMS ******* |

Post subject: | Another version |
If you are interested, there is another version, that displays the map in the same view as the client. ftp://www.ragedcom.com/punt/wforge.zip and ftp://www.ragedcom.com/punt/qt-mt333.zip One must do an edit->settings and set the tiledata.xml (palette file) and the mul files (all the files, complete file name), and restart (one time, when the mul files change). Please read the readme. |
