I made 2 or 3 maps and my tiles keep comig out at random altitudes. I also get an error when loading gimp unkown extensions. I use mod 9 and the mod 9 gimp pallet.

Well if it?s a altitude problem, and the tiles are correct, then it?s probably some kind of ?brush? issue ? make sure it?s not trying to fade from one color to another (not likely if you are in indexed-color mode, but I have never used Gimp, so I don?t know). This would be my first check. Are you making your map in true color and then converting it to indexed color before you save? If so, that could also cause that, but then I would think it would cause more problems.
