Post subject:  Current Dragon Version

I'm new to map making, but I have a question on Dragon. I've found dragon refered to as "mod 9" and "mod 11." Those are the terms used in Stormcrow's file area. However, on www.uocm.de they refer to Dragon as 1.05.00 Prerelease #6.

What is the most current version of the software and where should I look to download it? Thanks for sorting out my confusion!

1.05.00 PR8a is the latest executeable.
The mods refer to colortables/maptrans and scripts.

Great! So your files on Ryandor are newer than those on www.uocm.de.

I made a simple map using Melody's MS Paint tutorial and successfully converted the file from .bmp to map0.mul using Dragon mod 11! Now I just need to figure out how to implement it on my client and server emulator (RunUO) to see how it works.

Will Melody's MS Paint color pallet work for Dragon mod 11? All of her references are to mod 9.

Thanks for your help!

Post subject:  Using DragonSP to create Statics0.mul and Staidx0.mul

Ok, I'm starting to figure this out. I converted my test map using Dragon Mod 11. I'm hoping Melody's MS Paint Color Table still works.

My question now relates to DragonSP. How do you get clean statics0.mul and staidx0.mul files? I can pull the OSI provided ones from the client, but that's going to give me junk in my new world. I downloaded one of Ry's examples and it has new Statics0.mul and Staidx0.mul files. How do you get DragonSP to compute these files? When I tried with my new map I got the following output: "No items found". DragonSP did not write any new .mul files for me.

Any idea what am I doing wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
