That sounds more like a script related issue, a static is a static and should function the same map wise no matter the EMU being used.

It is the EMU that determines what can be done with any given static. Unless...you edited the tile data for your tree's...

Before you dig into scipt related issues that are most likely not the problem, do somthing like.. Check your Client Options in game, and turn off Circle of Transperency. Also, chop the base of the tree (not the leaves) after you are certain the circle of transperency is not on.

If that Circle of Transperency is on, your target will actually be targeting the ground, not the tree, even if the circle is very small, and almost not noticible.

If still no good, Add a static tree by the Item ID. a regular tree, Oak tree, or other common tree that you would normally get wood from.

Otherwise, you need to give a bit more info on what you have modified to RunUO.. if your still having trouble, you have obviously modified the Crafting and Harvesting systems incompletly.
