Ok i ran worldforge Kick ass program now that i sat and messed with it.

My problem is this. I go to melt a static area IE housing area. When i go to live to check it out so i can edit the houses they are gone completely.

Before when i had someone doing the melting and freezing for me the town would all be unstatic and i had to wipe it out myself(which is what i would prefer since i want to make small adjustments rather than make new towns all together.

Im missing a step maybe two or three. can someone speak in Idiot well enough to tell me. Im not very computer savey so talk to me like you would explain it to your parents PLEASE.

Okay, it sounds like you are melting out static stuff while the shards shutdown. I believe your trouble is since you have melted the items with World Forge, it saves the items you melted to a *.wsc file. thats where your missing items are. (depending on what world forge your using.. I have not messed with the orbsydia one much yet)

You would then need to import the items from that *.wsc file back to the world.

Depending on what EMU you are using, there are a couple that allow melting and freezing in game, like RunUO, and I believe theres scripts for POL as well for that... dunno.

If you use the in game commands for it, the items will then remain in game untill you do somthing to them, although you will have to update your statics/staidx files in UO folder, with the ones the Shard uses, otherwise you will still see the static building from your client thats still reading the unmelted version.

Hope that helps.
