I've been looking. Does anyone know of a program where you can take an image and convert it into a texture map. Or what ever it is that dragon uses as pieces a map. I want to change all the images including the map images. How can i do this? I know I can just make plain tiles with mulbuilder but I would like to have changes in z. |

Changes in Z ? Afaik UO just "stretches" the tile of p.e. a rock if it has to make a cliff, a mountain or else. |

Well, you?re slightly wrong about that? There are two sets of tiles that UO uses ? a regular 2D isometric tile for flat surfaces and a 2D texture map for any altitude-changing tiles (like mountains). I believe every texture map has an isometric tile that goes with it, but not every isometric tile has a texture map (like water or floors, for example). So if you don?t care about altitude change, just add an isometric tile. Otherwise, you need to add both. I once wrote a program for adding texture maps to UO (and this is how I know about all of this), but I haven?t a copy and don?t have a clue where you might find it. It has been years since I?ve seen it. |

There is a newer 3rd party tool that works pretty well. This is the link http://noxwizard.sourceforge.net/ look under the download link on the left and search in the tools folders. Tdv_mulpatcher_2.6 is its name. Dev |

That's a huge help. thanks. So for the most part does dragon use the "stretchable" square textures ( I've seen a few of these mostly grass2rock in inside uo) rather than iso tiles? |
