Post subject:  Removing old Statics from new Map

Hi, I am new to creating new Worlds, but yesterday I generated my first map with dragon. Sure looked nice, but still had the standard statics on the map (like Castle British and so on)

How can I remove those, and how can I add my own? I am running a POL Server.

Thanx in advance

Make a copy of your statics, as a backup.
Then run dragonsp.exe, enter the paths to the staidx and statics0 files and run it. Then it will create coastlines, trees and whatever. if its finished, it'll ask you if you want to clear the current statics. Then, simply klick yes :)

If that doesn't help you might need to replace the .dif files by blank ones :!:

How do you make blank .dif files?

If your using RUNUO you dont even need the diff files, just delete them.

.def? What's .def?

Is it stadif0.mul?

not .def, not def anything, dif files.. like Staidif.mul etc..

Anyways, here is a blank set.

But if you are using RunUO, with a couple simple lines of code you can completly disable the reading of these map/static diff files. Do a search for TileMatrixPatch, I have pasted the code several times.
