Hey i have a random yet curious question! When i change the dff files or whatever to the blank files. (This is to remove all the extra osi stuff) does that mean that when i have a patch for my shard i need to include thos files? or do other players need those files?

Yes, all players will need all mul files that you edit.

so would i just need to incorporate them into the patch? like for example: map0.mul statics0.mul staidx0.mul and the dff files?

Yes, same as any other file you alter, that players need in order to see the changes...
However, if you use RunUO, you can simply deactivate the shard from reading those files completly, and you wont have to alter/clear the dif files, nor would you have to make players patch all 8 of them. (think its 8 ).
but most EMU's dont have that support in script, to override.

If you are using RunUO and want to know more of this.. run a fast search on this forum for TileMatrixPatch.
