Okay i have a ???? or two. Okay when and if i have all i need to do in a city. and i forge it. what will happen to like anviles and forges for armor. well players still be able to use them it there made stadic. like spinning wheels and lumes. i have to know befor i place them and begin a forge. Cause i know the more that is stadic the less lag well have right. oh if i make a log out point to were players have to log out will that help with lag or dont you know. i am sure you do. |

Anything that needs to be usable by players needs to be dynamic, to the my knowledge. Best bet would be to only freeze those items that would need to be frozen. You can always go back later and freeze more items. And I'm really not sure of way to control where players log out from, although it would help with when a player initially logs in. What seems pretty common on shards where it's an issue, is when a player logs out near, for example, Brit bank, and when a GM sees the logged out player they get teleported to a random location, which may be an unsafe location. -Ryandor |

Admin Talon of Fallen Ashes and his team come up with a script that when a player logged out they got teleported to a different spot, when they logged back in they where teleported back to where they logged out. This was great if you lost cont while fighting, it saved players from dieing. Waver |

Well you better put a 5 minute delay before moving the player, though. Or else people would abuse it. IE "I'm about to die, F4!" Pretty obvious why that's bad. Unless you run a sissy shard where there are no PKs, no theives, no mean monsters, and too many pink rabbits ![]() |
