Post subject:  runuo beta36 has problem with custom maps

ok i posted earlier about some trouble im haveing with a custom map.
i have built 3 now. just toying around, I have the same problem on each one, i fall through the ground. BUT if i go back one beta to beta35 they all run great smooth as a babys bottum :) what would cause this to happen, is it Dragon or RunUo?

I can garuntee it has nothing to do with any changes to RunUO.
If you successfuly had it working on beta 35, or prior versions to beta 36, You simply need to double check your work.

Im not sure how RunUO works, but sphere needs to have the map in it's files as well. So if you don't have the same map on sphere you occassionally fall through the map. I have no idea if that is the same on RunUO, but maybe this might help :p

It doesnt need the mul files within its 'files' to run, By default it looks for the installed Ultima Online directory.. typically C:/Program Files/Ultima Online 2D
There is a script that you can enter a directory for your own custom core folder though, to run the shard on a seperate set of *mul files, this is usefull when world building, freezing/melting static items in game, etc.. etc.. That is where some may get confused, as to not remember to update both Ultima Online 2D folder, and the custom core folder both, with the map files, etc.

Your files are in the right place but you forgot to update DataPath.cs properly. I did the same. It took me soooo long to notice my error because I actually updated the file in the wrong place (I put my value into the commented-out line in the instruction block  )
