I got a mountain reange but i cant mine it.... what do i need to do? |

You need to post in your emulator's forums. The map has nothing to do with it. |

Well i built the mountain useing Dragon and i was wondering if there was another step on making it mineable. Thus i figured this was the correct forum. |

Don't mind Galavorn; he never has anything useful to say. He is correct in that it is a problem of your emu and not the map itself but a map is useless without an emu. How you do this depends what emu you use. |

Any one know how to do this w/ sphere? All I have goten so far was to drop the map0.mul and the statics into my uo folder and tryed to mine, and it didnt work. Im guessing it has to do something w/ the verdat or a region. I just figured since many if not all people has or had made a map they may know how this is done. Thanks! ![]() |

Quote: a region.
Exactly. Not the verdata. Like I said in the first place, your emulator defines it, not any files. |

So how about helping the poor guy out butt monkey? The only thing that you said that was indirectly correct is that it is his emu. I cannot for the life of me remember a single post you've made to anyone that was not rude in general and of any help. As I have said before if you don't have anything useful to add then STFU! The whole reason Ry put up this forum is for people to get help with making maps. Part of making maps is getting them to work with your emu of choice. Sphere. Great. For future ref it would help to say Sphere 55i or Sphere 99f or what have you. Sphereregion.scp and spheremap.scp are the files that you need to modify. Spheremap is where regions are defined along with certain other qualitys. Sphereregion is where you define the resources to be found and what music is played in those regions. |

How the heck do I help him if I don't even know what emulator he uses? I don't see any problem with my first reply. The guy asked what should he do to make his mountains mineable. I told him it is different for every emu and he should ask on his emulator's forums. Do you want me to list every single script he would need to edit for every emulator out there? Geez. |

Maybe that is his problem? I wouldn?t wish my genes upon anybody! At any rate, the problem I have with Galavorn is the fact that this place is dead enough without driving away more people. I guess he?s just blunt like I am, but I usually only throw peanuts at the people who have it comin?. *throws peanuts at Cal for no apparent reason* *weird Darthvadar voice* I am your father. |

*smacks forehead* You said: Galavorn wrote: You need to post in your emulator's forums. The map has nothing to do with it. What you should have said was: Galavorn wrote: The map has nothing to do with it. We can't help you unless we know what emulator you use. If you post what emulator and which version I am sure someone on this forum can help you. You could also try posting in your emulator's forums. Or even better still: Galavorn wrote: Mineral content of mountain ranges are controlled by your emulator. While someone with more knowledge than I could post how to do this for every emulator out there; I'm just a lazy butt monkey. If you post what emulator and which version you currently use, I am sure one of the kind and helpful people on this forum can help you. Perhaps even wise master Stormcrow. You could also try posting in your chosen emulator's forums. Thank you and have a good day.

Exactly those 2 files. Those 2 and only those 2. While Sphere recommends that you make a sphereregion2.scp and a spheremap2.scp for your changes with a custom map you want to get rid of all the default OSI regions. Silver: Anyalyze the structure of those 2 files and you will understand what is done and how. I would bet your unmineable mountains are in the Britain region which has been defined unmineable but you are going to want to get rid of all the predefined regions and make your own. Copy the default scripts out to another directory for reference and make new blank ones. You can also use Axis to work with the regions but it is better if you learn how to do it by hand. If you have specific questions after that post them on Sphere forums and someone can probably help you or post them here and I or someone else who knows sphere can help you. |
