The thing is, I really need a map maker to work with myself and a few others who are developing a role-playing shard. The thing is that I am a programmer and writer and I don't really have the time to sit around and learn how to make maps, let alone actually making the maps myself. That, and my current computer would not be able to handle editing a bmp of such a great size. My other fellows are skilled writers, admins and static builders. This, as you can imagine is a slight problem. And from what I have seen it's hard to find a good and dedicated map maker anywhere. So I decided to come here in hopes of finding someone who might be able to work with myself and my team to create our world.

The only thing I should mention is that the map will never really be "finished" untill all relative factors have been fleshed out. You see, I am not merely looking for a ready to use map, but someone who will be there to edit the map as per the wishes of staff members so that it will fit in with the ideas we come up with. So the map will probbably have to be slowly done region by region.

This must sound like a rather irritating post but all I can do is ask. If this is indeed the right place to ask for such a request then I will be pleased, if not then could you please direct me to the right place?

I guess I could at least say that your basicly in the right place.. the actual intention of this forum though, is based on.. as it states.. Map Making Help, being to give help and aid to the fellow map maker in need of assistance with the troubles he might come accross in his process of making his/her map.
Even though with that said, you are surly not denied rights to plea for a map maker to make a map, but I wouldnt count on this. As anyone would tell you, even the ones that never have made a complete map themselves, map making takes just too much time. And is an extremly rare thing to find anyone willing to accept making a map for someone else.
Hope you find someone though

Well in essence he does need map making help although your right might have been better posted under submissions.

Hey Editedmind there are alot of map makers out here and i give you the best of luck to find one, but actually just doing by region might be to your advantage for this reason. Map makers ushaully dont take on multiple projects...even though i used to, lol, because maps are very time consuming so if your map maker was only doing little bits it would not seem like a such a large project and may recieve a few more interested mappers.
