I was copying/pasting the mul files to my uo directory and it seems when I cut/paste the file becomes suspended? I can't copy/move/delete the bmp files. I also can't open it in any editors, I get the following error:

Cannot move, permission denied.
Make sure disk is not write protected.

Yeah, I should have made a backup, but I was in the middle of starting fresh and I did a considerable amount of work in that one session. So I hadn't come to the point of making a backup.

I'm using XP sp1 any one had this problem and resolved it?

Go into Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer).
Tools --> Folder Options

Second Tab, 'View'. Scroll to the bottom.
If not already, disable "Use Simple File Sharing"
Hit OK to close this.

Now, find your file that is locked.
Right-click --> Properties
Go to Security Tab.
You can play around with the setting here, but I just give Full Control to everyone in the list. (SYSTEM, Adminitrators (group), and whatever your logon name is, should be in this list).

That should sort it.
Yes, I've run into this problem before, but no I don't know what causes this.
