so my mod 9 must be busted because unevenly for snow doens't work nor does snow->mountain. so fine, i'll download a new one. I checked the downloads page and only saw up to mod9 availiable? I hear mod11 is out? well, where do i get these things?

the mod11 palette seems fucked up. starfield turns into cobblestone at 40, jungle at 0 turns into cave, pretty much all crazy shit. Hey, it fixed my snow!

uhh... need to un-fuck the rest of the map now ^_^

Uhhhh.....are you trying to use your mod9 bmp with mod11?
That isn't going to work without some editing.

no, i'm redoing my mod9 map w/ all new mod11 colors.

grass turns to water
starfield turns to jungle

and on and on.

I'm using the mod11 palette by matonar, maybe that's the problem?
got another mod11 palette?

Matonor didn't make the palette; I did.
He made labelled color table visual aids for mod11.

Are you using photoshop? Are you drawing with the mod11 palette?
Did you make sure the image itself is using the mod11 palette?

I've been building maps for years and never ran into this problem.

Using photoshop 7 8bit/indexed color
and the mod11eng.png palette.

The .png is NOT the palette.
It is just a visual aid.
The .aco and...forget the other file, at work right now....whatever it is are the palette and swatch files. Besides drawing with the right swatch files the image itself also needs to be using the right color table. You can check it under...I think the image menu..drill down through it.
