Well, that's my problem... I cannot create caves within mountains, AKA "mines" xD
Could someone help me?
If someone could post a "correctly made" bmp with a cave i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance :D

Oh thats easy!

Just read the tutorial on the front page of the site. It does work as well as all of the other methods described in the Map Making Tutorial and Techniques section.

To create a cave or mine, create your map as you would if it had neither. Then, run your favorite imager-to-map converting program (such as Dragon) on your image without caves/mines.

Once you have a final map that you believe is acceptable, open it up in WorldForge or an equivalent low-level map-editing software package, and go to the location where you wish to have the entrance. At that point, draw black tiles where you wish the entrance to be, and surround those by the ?mountain-to-black? cave transition tiles, which are obvious if you look for them. Now save the changes (this is automatic in WorldForge), and close the program.

You should be able to do the next step most easily from within the game, so set up your server to use your map files, and then log in. Go to the location where you made the entrance, and from there, begin lying down ?cave floor? tiles inside the entrance. You will not be able to see them unless you are inside, though. How you get inside the mountain is dependant of the server software you are using, but it is usually a matter of teleporting to above the mountain and resetting your character?s Z coordinate to zero. Another alternative, if your server supports it, is to place the first cave tiles outside the cave and ?increment? them in (this is the easiest way to do it in UOX, for example), and then walk in on top of them. After finishing the floors, you should proceed to place the walls in the same manner. Bother the floor tiles and the wall tiles are considered static items, and as such, you can have no smooth transition between elevations within the caves.

After having done the above, you must ?freeze? the floors and walls into the client-side static files. How you do this depends greatly on which server software you use. RunUO has a built-in command for doing this (I have heard), and for UOX you can use WorldForge?s ?freeze? utility function.

Ryandor?s tutorial, which may be found on this site, will give you much more elaborate instructions.

Thanks a lot! By the way, just one more thing (sorry im pretty noob at making maps :D), how do i make the cave tiles "mineable" ? I ran a UOX3, and the tiles make themselves "mineable" instantly, but on sphere i cannot make them mineable. I used the command .tile 0,1343 to create them, maybe i should add more parameters to make them mineable, anyone knows how to do it?
Thanks in advance.

In Sphere you have to use floor tiles with type t_rock in your mines. Check if there is a sphere_types.scp script in the sphere script folder, make sure and do an .info on the tiles you are using for your mine floor. Check again for the t_rock type after adding the mine into your statics. If the type is t_normal, you wont be able to mine on that tile.

:D I fixed my problem :D
I created a new kind of "Cave Floor", in which the type is t_rock, and i've "commented" the mr_nothing. Now it works just fine and I've made my own first deed to a large forge :D Im happy :D though i should be studying vcpp for friday... But sphere sure is fun :D

Thanks a lot to everyone :D
