I'm trying to make caves (Yes, I know, this topic seems to be endless in here.... hehe)

I'm using: Dragon Mod11 1.05
Worldforge 65
Sphere 55R

I drew my map with cave floors, 3 tiles of black around the floors, ran Dragon and DragonSP, painted over the caves with WF (height 35-45) and the cave floors were no longer there.

I tried going ingame and using the export command (.servexport AND .serv.export) and nothing saved to the items.wsc file - is there a space between .serv command and items.wsc? Of course, being new to this technique, it's quite possible I've done it wrong.

Here's what I typed ingame: .servexport items.wsc 230 with "230" being the radius of the area I wanted exported. Also tried .serv.export items.wsc 230

In addition, I tried using WF....clicked "get static index", entered the coords of the small cave area, clicked "get static block" (also tried melting without clicking that), then clicked "melt".....it said nothing was done and there's nothing in the items.wsc.

Also tried creating an area at a negative Z but, again, WF painted over it and it went away.

I, personally, will likely place my caves in the dungeon area, as I did before. But, my son wants his caves in the mountains themselves. :/

ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, bunches.

CMS <--who is about ready to tell her son he can do without caves. :)

It sounds like the cave floors created with the mod 11 are map tiles. I have really not used mod 11 enough to be sure. Im sure StormCrow could tell you better. but research it a bit. Also, if you used World Forge, and the cave tiles were static items, you would not have seen them on the map viewer.. it would have been black. If they were map tiles, you would have replaced cave tiles with the mountain rock when you did that.

just about serv.export:

thats the correct command:

.serv.export items.wsc 1 280 0

the first number can be 0 or 1 for just the walls and floors (0) or everything (1), you know what the 280 is and the third number is something i dont know the meaning of, but 0 always worked for me ;)

oh yeah. it only works for dynamic items
