I've done successful mapmaking several times before, but this one has me stumped (kind of). I am trying to build a new map0 image, with the new ML coordinates (7168x4096). As usual, I used the color table for mod9+ and converted to Index mode before compiling. I'm trying to do this using Dragon Mod9+, which - if I'm right - only supports 6144x4096. I believe that's what is causing my issue you can see here. Can anyone confirm my suspicion? If it's not this, what is happening? If it is, is there any work-around for Dragon 9, or do I have to use one of the newer map-compiling apps? |

If you used any other version of Dragon besides v2.00.00 Alpha 06.06.2004 that is definately the problem because this is the only version of Dragon that allows maps other than the standard 6144x4096. And the issue with Dragon v2.00.00 Alpha 06.06.2004 is that it only generates terrain. They never finished the statics generator for this version. You basically have 5 choices I can see: 1. Use a pre-Mondain's Legacy client from before the map size change. 2. Hex edit the map size in the client to change it back to 6144x4096. 3. Use Dragon v2.00.00 Alpha 06.06.2004 and do all the statics by hand. 4. Switch to Map Generator 2 or UO Landscaper. 5. Generate the map to 6144x4096 using the same version of Dragon you are using now, and then use punt's ML Map Extender utility to make your finished map 7168x4096. (This tool just fills in the extra space with black space). |

I would like to use punt's map extender utility. All the extra space is just black anyway, so I can crop my image to 6144 and then use this utility. Do you have a download link on-hand? Thanks for the tips. I appreciate the help. |
