For anyone interested in getting a DETAILED understanding of the code for WorldMaker, now is the change to get involved. I have started laying the framework out for what will probably be my last intiated C++ base project. So understanding the code is a chance for anyone interested to continue the project, etc. I will be posting the code, and answer any questions, input, etc, as it is developed. So if one wants, get a C++ compilier, and ensure they have QT setup (www.trolltech.com under the development section. Get the development for the platform one is on. I am using 4.2 evaluation, for I figure by the time of completation, that will be the formal version). Build the library (this takes forever), and one is setup. This page may be of help: http://qtnode.net/wiki/Main_Page . I will be posting code for anyone intersted in following along. I have the basic window (main window, with MDI children) setup, and building the XML confiuration file loader. Just some basic stuff, that is always needed. UO specific wont be coming until a bit later. So, for anyone interested, let me know, and I wil upload the code immediately. This could be fun. |

Ok, I should get back from Denver next staurday. I would highly recomment in the mean time, people go ahead and get a C++ enviroment setup on their machine, with QT installed. I am using QT 4.2, which they have now RELEASED! So ensure you are using that! I will probably setup a cvs module under sourceforge, so people can follow as it gets developed, and ask any questions, input, etc. |
