I've come across a problem with MapGenerator 2.0 and it seems that worldmaker.ryandor.com isn't working anymore (atleast not for me). So on to my problem. I have been enjoying creating maps with the altitude and terrain two seperate entities, it makes it a bit cleaner to edit things and I like that. well I parse the map bmps and that goes very slow but seems to be fine, I change the names to Static0, etc... and I patch up and log in. I begin to teleport around, and I realize that I can't actually teleport onto land tiles or coast tiles, infact the only thing I can really [tele around is the water. Why is this? And how come my forest areas don't place trees, just the ground for forest? Any Help would be greatly appreciated ![]() |

If your teleport target is not letting you teleport to a land tile or other in game, thats a sure sign of you not having both the RunUO server and your UO Client both using the same map. There really is not any other answer to that. double check it. The forest and such items to place, you need to first be certain you have checked the 'Random Art' tab on Map Generator before rendering your map.. if that was checked, then apperently your palette color used for forest on your terrain image is not setup to use any art. On your terrain.bmp image, find the palette index number you used for forest, Open the terrain.xml file and go to the entry for that index entry. Check that the entry on that index has ArtKey="Forest" if no ArtKey entry is entered on the palette index entry, no items will be placed at all. |

oh, i thought it was enabled as default, i couldn't see any checkbox anywhere I also discovered what was causing the map problem, you're right it was that my server wasn't reading the same map but what the problem really was is that i didn't stick the unrar'd files into my edited statics folder to allow the server to read from it. Thanks for the help |
