Ok, I am new to the entire map making concept and i really want to make my own map. Now ive managed to figure out so many things in a short ammount of time. I found out how to map every type of landmass and it acually worked because im using a test server and i was able to see the work i did. Now the only problem im having is with the water. Along the coast lines its a huge dark brown spot. I cant get rid of this. Im using Dragon to create my map and is there somthing im not doing right to create the water. Is there a certaint level i must make water and mainland or maby another tool to fix this i must download. Any information you guys can come up with for me would help very much.

P.S when i say im new to this map making stuff i meen literally 4 hours new lol. But on the plus side im not lazy and have figured out so much in such little time.

Sounds like you need to run Dragon Static Patch. It's a separate program that goes along with Dragon. It places those static water tiles by coasts along with other stuff like trees, rocks, etc.

Or, if you're using Dragon 11, you may need to be sure you put shallow water (the -5 water color by the -15 (deep) one) around all your landmasses.
