I would like to know how to make colours permanent or undyeable in the gumpart for clothing. An example would be the gilded or fancy dress. When you dye it the gold colour doesn't change colour. Does anyone know how this is achieved?

Thanks.

There is a "Partial Hue" flag in the tiledata entry for the item. When selected, any portion of the animation, gump, or static art of the item that does not contain color (i.e. is in greyscale) is hued with the color you select for the item.

Ah!

So if I understand this correctly the white of the fancy dress contains no colour and therefore gets coloured when dyed but since the gold contains colour that part gets no dye.

Thanks HR.

Once again you have come to the rescue.

You've got it right Yukiko! Hues will function this way for any item that has the partial hue flag set in tiledata.mul.

And no problem! :)
